With 20+ years of industrial experience in welding and advanced manufacturing, I return to UBC each year to teach a CWB-accredited course on the welding and joining of materials. My focus is on preparing engineering students for the practicalities of the modern manufacturing industry, covering everything from foundational theory to global AWS and CSA standards.
I mentor students in using computational tools to solve complex industrial challenges, with a dedicated focus on ensuring the safety, reliability, and digital transformation of commercial infrastructure.
