Safety is a top priority in the Department of Materials Engineering at UBC. We are committed to fostering a safe, healthy, and secure environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) & Naloxone Locations
AEDs and naloxone kits are available across the UBC Vancouver campus in the case of an emergency, you can locate all AEDs on the SRS website, and the naloxone kits on the Campus Security website.
Two AEDs are available in the Frank Forward Building to support quick response during cardiac emergencies. These devices are easy to operate and provides clear instructions once activated. AEDs cannot do harm. Knowing the locations of AEDs in advance can help you act quickly and confidently in a critical situation. The naloxone kits are installed right next to the AEDs, both kits are located on:
- First Floor – mounted on the wall outside Room 119
- Fifth Floor – mounted on the wall outside Room 503
