Academic Services
- Academic Advising: Contact our admissions team for personalized guidance. Faculty graduate advisors are available to help on any aspect of graduate studies within the department – both professional and personal. To seek support from an advisor please send an email to graduate@mtrl.ubc.ca. Please do not email advisors at their personal email addresses.

Forms and Documents
Faculty should request the scheduling of the following on behalf of their students using the MTRL Scheduling Requests survey.
- Supervisory Committee Meetings
- Master’s Final Oral Exam
- PhD Comprehensive Exam
- PhD Proposal
- PhD Internal Exam
Faculty or students should submit graduate forms to Student Services using the Graduate Forms Submission survey. Forms you can find and submit through this survey are:
- Request for Extension
- Request for Leave of Absence
- Changes to Supervisory Committee
- PhD Candidacy
- Voluntary Withdrawal
